Pay statements & how Knockt proves your pay is right

Every rep gets an itemized statement that ties out to payroll, to the cent — built from an append-only ledger you can verify.

Knockt's whole job is to pay every rep exactly what they earned — and to prove it. Each pay period produces a per-rep statement built straight from an append-only commission ledger, and that statement reconciles to the cent against what payroll actually pays.

What's on a pay statement

A statement itemizes everything that made up a rep's check for the period: tier commission, spiffs, milestone bonus, new-hire ramp, and any clawbacks — then the net total. Below the breakdown is the period's commission ledger (each accrual and clawback, by date and customer), and a line that confirms the ledger ties out to the paycheck.

Ledger · Sarah Lind
Jun 3Install commission — #1042+$185
Jun 3Milestone bonus — 20th install+$500
Jun 11Clawback — #1009 canceled−$150
Period earned$535
The append-only ledger every statement is built from.

How a rep gets their statement

From Payroll, open any closed period. Each rep row has a PDF download and an Email action, plus an Email statements to all button to send the whole team their branded statement at once. A rep can also see their numbers any time on their own dashboard and in their Commission Ledger.

“Matches payroll, to the cent”

On Reports, a small badge shows whether your reported earnings reconcile to payroll for the range. Knockt runs this check internally on every close; surfacing it means you — and your reps — can see the books tie out rather than taking it on faith.

When a clawback happens

If a sale cancels and a rep's commission is reversed, the rep is told plainly: the amount, and whether the cancel fell inside their clawback window, with a one-tap path to review or dispute it. A clawback is never silent.

A ledger you can verify

The commission ledger is append-only — corrections are new, signed entries, never edits to history. Every row also carries a tamper-evidence signature, so a manager can confirm no past entry's money was altered. That's what makes “provably correct” more than a slogan.
